Church of the Visitation at Ain Karem

Another restored Crusader building, reputedly over the site of the summer residence of Zechariah and Elizabeth. It would have been here that Mary and Elizabeth met whilst they were both expecting. The upper church contains some beautiful paintings and is well worth the climb.
